Testing some garden and vegetable gardening signs for springtime gardens.

We are just testing so far – please allow some leeway 🙂

Hi – I wanted to test this for myself, but at the same time get your reaction to my spring gardening signs.

With the temperature at -3 right now and the garden still buried under 20cm of snow, it never put me off planning a series of spring gardening signs that I want to have in stock by the time we all start planting again this year.

I made a bunch of signs already – and even sold one – all under the excuse of thinking-of-spring-planting-time.

The real excuse was to go into the workshop and have some fun making anything. This was the outcome of that experiment.

Now, I admit that we already know what we liked (the red and mixed colours in the tomato one was an outright fail) and I plan to start making stock.

Once I get going I will add a bunch of sample ones with words like Kale, Lettuce, Spring Onions, Bell peppers and as many more as I can think of. Some of them will be those small little thick ones and those will probably have a stick of some sort on them.

When I have a big pile of sample signs I will run an ad asking for pre-orders and that should help me see which ones will need to be in stock all the time.

I also have to decide on prices. I know that low pricing sells a lot of stock, but I also need to remember that each piece is cut | sanded | routed for the letters | sanded again | painted for the colours | sanded again | a stick added if necessary | and oiled. Thank goodness I love doing that type of work. My go-to therapy place.

I would love your opinion!!!.
